An AI advisory board for exploring decisions
An AI advisory board is a structured exercise in which several AI perspectives examine the same question, challenge assumptions and produce a memo for you to review. Perskill uses interpretations of public thinking frameworks for education and research.
What an AI board of directors can do
The name describes a simulation. It has no corporate authority or fiduciary role. The exercise can surface alternative explanations, execution constraints and disagreements. You remain responsible for checking facts and deciding what to do.
Perskill’s board workspace lets you write a brief, assemble persona seats, run discussion stages and review a decision memo. Board execution requires the existing access password and a configured server model. Reading the public library does not require board access.
Choose perspectives with different jobs
- Write the question, constraints and evidence you already have.
- Assign a chair, a domain specialist and an operator. Add a contrarian or risk reviewer when a challenge is useful.
- Compare the reasoning. Ask which assumptions are unsupported and what each perspective missed.
- Review the memo’s tradeoffs and next steps. Test uncertain claims before acting.
An illustrative workshop decision
Suppose you are planning a free learning workshop. This example is a written illustration, not output from a recorded board session.
A first-principles perspective lists the essentials: a safe room, a clear lesson and enough time for practice. An operator checks preparation time and venue availability. A contrarian asks whether a smaller study group would meet the same need.
The resulting next step might be a small pilot with a short feedback form. Record what participants actually learn before committing to a larger event. The value is a testable next step, rather than confidence created by several agreeing voices.
Keep evidence separate from a convincing story
Several personas can repeat the same error because they rely on the same underlying model. Agreement is not independent verification. Use the board as a study aid, and keep sensitive material out of examples you share publicly. It provides no professional advice or representation of any featured person.
